Legal Terms & Compliance

Mandatory compliance disclosures, subscriber terms, privacy protocols, and acceptable usage framework under the Indian Telegraph Act and DoT ISP License guidelines.

1. Terms of Service & Subscriber Agreement

This Subscriber Agreement is entered into between Ambalanet.com Private Limited (herein referred to as “Ambalanet”, holding DoT Category B ISP License) and the individual, business, or entity subscribed to our services (“Subscriber”).

  • Provision of Service: High-speed optical fiber connectivity is delivered over our FTTH distribution network. Services are activated following statutory Customer Application Form (CAF) verification and government-approved photo ID & address KYC submission.
  • Customer Premises Equipment (CPE): Optical Network Terminal (ONT) routers provided on free-to-use rental remain the property of Ambalanet. Subscribers agree to handle equipment responsibly and return it upon voluntary disconnection.
  • Billing & Payment: Prepaid and postpaid plans must be renewed before the expiration date to prevent automated suspension. Taxes applicable include Goods and Services Tax (GST at 18%).
  • SLA & Availability: Enterprise Internet Leased Lines (ILL) are governed by written 99.9% uptime Service Level Agreements. Residential connections receive priority 4-hour MTTR during daylight operational hours.

2. Privacy Policy & Data Protection

Ambalanet adheres strictly to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and Department of Telecommunications directives.

  • Information Collected: Subscriber KYC records (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport), registered mobile number, email, and billing records required by telecom law.
  • Data Retention & Security: In accordance with DoT licensing requirements, IP allocation and connection timestamp logs are securely retained on encrypted audit databases for statutory compliance and are never sold or shared with commercial third parties.
  • Zero Content Interception: Ambalanet does not inspect, store, or monitor the contents of unencrypted internet packets transmitted across subscriber connections.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

All subscribers must use the network responsibly and in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885.

  • Prohibited Activities: Subscribers may not use Ambalanet connections to launch Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, port scanning, spam transmission, hosting unlawful material, or violating intellectual property rights.
